Because there is only one multi-task spout, changing from transport to usage mode is a snap! To prevent vapor release and spills during transport, a hold-down bracket is tethered to the spout and equipped with a big, easy-to-grasp tightening screw. Dual fusible link bracket is easy to engage and guards against content spillage and fume release as required by D.O.T., when used for transportation of fuel. The fusible link melts at 165F to prevent dangerous pressure build-up at elevated temperatures. Simply disengage the fusible link bracket when the can is not being used for transportation purposes and the can acts like a normal safety can. When the can is not being transported, the hold-down bracket can be secured firmly to the top of the spout to prevent loss or damage. Heavy roll bar construction protects the spout, handle and trigger. UNO's exclusive Safe-Squeeze trigger mechanism releases liquid with precise timing. Handle and trigger are designed for a natural grasp with the weight of the can resting firmly in your palm. A simple finger squeeze on the trigger opens the piston actuated spout and vacuum release valve for accurate pouring. A release of the handle instantly closes the valve to guard against spills. For single-handed filling, simply engage the lift-latch with your finger and push down on the trigger to open fill spout. In addition to meeting your ease-of-use and performance needs, built-in safety features include an internal dual-density flame arrester to dissipate heat and prevent flashback ignition; leaktight, self-closing lid; automatic venting between 3 and 5 psig to guard against pressure build-up at elevated temperatures and potential explosion; and each and every can is 100% tested to guarantee leakproof construction. Convert open-top drums into fire-safe receptacles.

Drum Covers provide an inexpensive way to convert open-top 30- and 55-gallon steel drums into fire-safe receptacles for combustible trash. Only a screwdriver and wrench are needed to attach the cover to a drum, and it can easily be removed when the drum must be emptied. Covers are steel, with a highly chemical resistant powder coat paint finish. 30-gallon cover will fit drums nominally 18.375" diameter. 55-gallon size will fit drums from 22.5" to 22.75" diameter. On models 26730 and 26750, a replaceable fusible-link assembly inside the cover melts at 165 F to automatically slam the cover shut if there is a fire in the drum to extinguish the flame. To control vapors when disposing of solvent soaked rags and wipes, model 26752 offers a gasketed, latched lid to seal the drum preventing vapor release. A vent is provided to relieve pressure build-up under elevated temperatures, between 3 and 5 psig.

Wide mouth funnels are a must when transferring liquids into the relatively small 2" bung on a 30- or 55-gallon drum. Justrite offers funnels with superior safety features that make them ideal for use with solvent, thinner, oil and paint wastes. Heavy 18-gauge galvanized steel with electrostatically applied epoxy powder coat paint provides durability and chemical resistance. All funnels comply with EPA and OSHA regulations and are FM approved. Larger funnels accept a lock to prevent unauthorized access. Funnels intended for use with flammables are fitted with a brass flame arrester that absorbs and dissipates heat, preventing any external ignition source (like sparks from powertools, static electricity or cigarettes) from reaching the drum's flammable contents. Popular model No. 08207 with 6" flame arrester handles most needs while No. 08205 with 32" flame arrester provides greater liquid flow. For viscous or nonflammable liquids, funnel No. 08208 is fitted with a 33" open end brass tube to direct liquid flow. Self-close models have a fusible link that melts at 165 F. The cover then automatically shuts in case of a fire to extinguish the flames. Aerosolv is the safe and economical way to dispose of aerosol cans.

Safe, convenient and compliant, Aerosolv provides an easy-to-use, effective method of relieving pressure in spent aerosol cans. It changes them from solid hazardous waste to a non-hazardous, fully recyclable state. This eliminates the expense of solid waste disposal of aerosol cans. Every 100 cans punctured and emptied by Aerosolv increases recyclable scrap metal by 25 lb. and reduces solid waste by 10 cubic feet, making Aerosolv extremely cost effective. As an added benefit, residual liquids may be eligible for reclamation or recycling, resulting in "waste minimization credits. The contents of over 4,000 spent aerosols may be collected in just one 55-gallon drum. The puncturing unit, which depressurizes empty aerosol cans is made of low maintenance aircraft aluminum and threads into the 2" bung of a standard 55-gallon drum. All moving parts are 308 stainless steel. It accepts series 200, 300 and 6 oz. cans. No power source is needed. Simply insert inverted can, tighten sliding plate to engage, and press handle to pierce a smooth edged hole into the dome of the can. Carbide-tipped piercing pin withstands repeated use with no visible signs of wear after puncturing 10,000 aerosol cans. The combination coalescing/carbon filter threads into the .75" drum bung and is comprised of two parts. The lower coalescing portion removes airborne liquids while the replaceable, upper activated carbon portion adsorbs hydrocarbons and odor. Standard Aerosolv System includes puncturing unit with plastic sleeve, color changing coalescing/carbon filter, anti-static wire and goggles to enhance safety. Aerosolv Super System includes the same items as the standard system with the addition of a lockout and shutoff mechanism that positively seals the unit and the drum when not in use, eliminating the escape of hazardous vapors while the system is at rest. A padlock with key is included to insure against use by unauthorized personnel. The Super System is also easier to keep clean as dirt and grime slide off its Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coated body. A convenient, color changing combination coalescing/carbon filter signals saturation and eliminates premature changing of upper activated carbon cartridge.
